To Have Good Ideas You Need to Have Ideas

When you have good ideas. Magic happens.

As usual, at this time of year, I slow down a little and reflect on the past year.

I especially think about business, what’s good and what’s not so good, how I can kick ass in 2017, etc.

Many good things have happened this year as the result of a good idea.

Amazing opportunities come when you have good ideas. I’ve seen it with my own eyes.

So, as I’ve been reflecting, I’ve realised that if I want to have good ideas in 2017 — I need to have ideas.

One of my favourite writers, James Altucher, says that “Ideas are the currency of the 21st century”. He talks about becoming an “Idea Machine” by writing 10 ideas each day. They needn’t all be million-dollar ideas, but, just the practise of writing the ideas helps you to become more creative.

It’s so easy to let life pass you by and be passive.

I don’t want to be that guy. I want to be proactive. I want to be an “idea machine”.

But, it’s about showing up. It’s about getting into that practise that is going to help you get to the next level.

There is so much stuff I want to get done this coming year. Becoming even more badass at having ideas is definitely up there. I’ve seen the results it can bring and I want more!

To have good ideas you need to have ideas.
